Dr Oscar Klier is a German patent attorney and has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2018. In addition to his work as a German patent attorney, he is currently preparing for admission as a European patent attorney.
Mr Klier began his career in intellectual property at a renowned patent law firm in Munich, where he worked in a variety of technical fields. His main focus was on drafting patent applications and managing grant proceedings.
After completing his master’s degree in materials science at the University of Augsburg in 2012, Mr Klier wrote his dissertation on the ‘Technological Persistency of Inorganic Solid-State Lighting Systems’ as part of his work as a graduate research assistant at the Chair of Resource Strategy at the University of Augsburg. In his monograph, he dealt intensively with LED technologies and their chemical and physical fundamentals. He thereby developed a system for evaluating the resource efficiency and functional properties of modern LED lighting, taking into account various sustainability concepts. He was awarded his doctorate in 2017.
With his in-depth knowledge in the fields of lighting technology, vehicle engineering, semiconductor physics and solid-state physics, Mr Klier brings both technical and legal expertise to his work as a patent attorney.PRACTICE AREAS
